History/Social Studies Framework Training

The new History/Social Science Framework represents a seismic shift in instructional practices for the history/social science classroom. The Framework puts a much greater emphasis on understanding our democracy and the importance of civic engagement throughout the grade levels. The following professional learning supports are being provided by TCSOS in partnership with Stan COE to help Tuolumne County District teams learn about the framework shifts, view instructional materials, and develop a district plan for instructional materials adoption and implementation.

March 9, 9am – 2pm, Location: Learning Resource Display Center (LRDC) located at 1100 H Street in Modesto.

Travel to the LRDC in Modesto. While there, support will be provided for your team to utilize a toolkit that will help your district team review instructional materials that are available. Lunch is on your own. At the end of the day, you will have an implementation plan developed specifically for your site.

(optional) March 14 – Publishers Fair at the LRDC, 9am – 4pm
