FRISK (Fundamentals for Evaluators in Addressing Below-Standard Employee Performance) is a practical performance management training designed for administrators and supervisors responsible for evaluating and supporting employees. Presented by Jacqueline Hang, Esq. Partner, AALRR, this session introduces the FRISK documentation model, a structured approach to preparing clear, objective, and legally sufficient documentation when addressing employee performance or conduct concerns.
Participants will learn how to apply the FRISK framework, focusing on identifying facts, linking conduct to applicable rules or expectations, articulating the impact of performance issues, providing clear directives for improvement, and ensuring employees are informed of their rights to respond. The training also addresses progressive intervention strategies and common pitfalls in performance documentation, with an emphasis on consistency, fairness, and defensibility in employment decisions
