Scholarship

The Perricone-Hobbin-Hodge (PHH) Scholarship is part of the last will and testament of Elizabeth Hobbin Hodge, a long-time Tuolumne County resident, and advocate of public education, and is funded through her trust. The Tuolumne County Board of Education is responsible for awarding scholarships on behalf of the trust, and the Sonora Area Foundation administers the funds.

Applicants must be a current graduate of a Tuolumne County Based Public High School, and must attend a University of California campus. Refer to the Information and Application form for complete eligibility requirements.

Recipients awarded this scholarship as first-year students are eligible for three additional consecutive years, contingent upon approval of passing grades and full-time enrollment. Recipients who fail to meet these obligations may make a formal request to the TCBOE to authorize the SAF to continue to release funds. Refer to the Change in Status form for details.

Eligibility

Requirements

Applicants must be current graduates of a Tuolumne County Based Public High School, or relatives of Elizabeth Hobbin Hodge.

Applicants must be admitted to and plan on attending a University of California school as a full-time, first-year student.

This is a continuing scholarship.  Students who receive this scholarship in their first year at a UC are eligible for three additional consecutive years contingent upon verification of completion of all coursework with passing grades and full-time enrollment.
