TCSOS works regularly with school and media personnel to help get the word out about what’s happening in schools throughout the county.

We also help educators with strategies for working with reporters and have contacts with local print, television, and radio news departments. We work frequently with reporters to provide background and contact information.

October 2025: Noah Johnson

Noah is a respectful and hardworking student who consistently strives to meet his goals. He regularly earns top marks for demonstrating safe, respectful, and responsible behavior, and always completes his assignments with care. Noah is highly organized and takes pride in maintaining his academic binder, preparing himself for a successful transition to high school. His teacher, Joseph Magnu, shares, “Noah is a positive role model and can always be counted on to help others and lead by example.” Whether participating in class discussions or assisting younger students, Noah brings focus, responsibility, and a spirit of service to everything he does.

Mother Lode Robotics Challenge

The Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools Office announces the 6th annual Mother Lode Robotics Challenge for Tuolumne County schools.

April 2023: Littia Turpen

Littia is a positive role model and an excellent student at TLC High. She is social, outgoing, and kind. Littia is always willing to help other students inside and outside her educational setting. In the classroom, Littia is actively engaged in academics, provides meaningful input and insight during class discussions, and is involved in her education. “She is a joy to have in the classroom, and her positive attitude brings a smile to the faces of the staff and the students as soon as she enters the room.” says teacher Stephen Piech.

March 2023: Megan Stoneham

“Megan’s fondness for learning is obvious. She possesses a charming smile and infectious laughter,” says Megan’s teacher, Rhonda Montano. “Her interests include engaging in art projects, playing with kinetic sand, and watching Peppa Pig videos. Notably, Megan consistently completes her assignments with precision and sets a remarkable example for her peers. Additionally, she exudes kindness towards both staff members and fellow students.”
