The Tuolumne County Board of Education is proud to offer one or more $15,000 scholarship(s) ($3750 per year for up to 4 years if eligible) on behalf of the Elizabeth Hobbin Hodge Testamentary Trust.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be current graduates of a Tuolumne County Based Public High School, or relatives of Elizabeth Hobbin Hodge.
Applicants must be admitted to and plan on attending a University of California school as a full-time, first-year student.
This is a continuing scholarship. Students who receive this scholarship in their first year at a UC are eligible for three additional consecutive years contingent upon verification of completion of all coursework with passing grades and full-time enrollment.
Application Procedure
Applicants must submit the following:
- The application on page 2 of this form
- Two current letters of recommendation
- A one to two-page essay discussing a significant high school learning experience or project, goals for college, and future plans
Top candidates may be asked for an interview.
Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted to your school’s scholarship coordinator or counseling office by March 11, 2023, or emailed directly to administration@tcsos.us, with “PHH Application” in the subject line.
Payments
For each school year, scholarship payments will be awarded as follows: the first $1875 payment will be disbursed upon proof of enrollment as a full-time student for the first term. The next $1875 payment will be disbursed upon proof of enrollment as a full-time student for the second term.
