Mad About Science Registration Opening Soon

Exciting news is on the way for this year’s Mad About Science program.

We are currently finalizing event dates with Columbia College and plan to open registration on March 24. Families and educators are encouraged to watch this page and our social media channels for the official announcement.

Mad About Science continues to provide hands-on, engaging science experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of discovery in our students. We look forward to sharing more details very soon.

Mad About Science is a FREE Summer STEM Program hosted by TCSOS and held on the Columbia College campus. The program provides an exciting and hands-on experience for Tuolumne County students entering 4-9th grade, introducing them to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

The week-long event includes engaging activities such as building bridges, launching rockets, creating slime, and making lava lamps. Mad About Science aims to foster a love for STEM subjects and inspire student’s curiosity in the world around them.

Hypothesis

Students will appreciate and engage in the study of science & engineering through hands-on activities with superb educators.



Experiment

Provide a free, week-long, hands-on Summer STEM program. Open to students entering 4th – 9th grade during the 2024-2025 school year who reside in Tuolumne County.

Space is limited, and acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the program is full, registrants will be put on a waiting list.
