Adverse Weather Transportation Policy

If roads have ice or snow:

  • Oman Drive: Meet at Willow Springs Club House
  • Meadow Lark: Meet at Willow Springs Club House
  • All Ponderosa Hills: Tuolumne Market
  • Groveland: Mary Laveroni Park
  • All Crystal Falls: Willow Springs Club House or Old Burger King lot
  • Sugar Pine RV: Meet at Twain Harte Market Parking Lot
  • Middle Camp, South Fork Rd, and Lakewood: Meet at TH Market
  • Mi-Wuk: Twain Harte Shopping Center/ Pizza Factory
  • Lyons Bald Mountain: Wide Spot @ Cemetery
  • Sonora Meadows: Willow Springs Club House
  • Blue Bell: Meet at the intersection of Blue Bell/ Lupine Lane
  • Phoenix Lake Golf Course: Tennis Courts
  • South Fork/Good Shepard: Willow Springs Club House
  • Ridgewood: Nate’s Mowers
  • Upper Crystal Falls/Longeway/Belleview School: Willow Springs

Communicate with your driver, and be aware of the weather. Classes may be canceled due to weather after students have been dropped off at school. Please provide emergency contact numbers should we need to deliver your child early or at an alternate stop. If the parent/guardian can not be contacted, the student will be brought to the County Schools Office. 

School Delays

The local radio stations will transmit school delays. 92.7 or 93.5

Do not call the transportation office until you have exhausted all other resources, i.e., mymotherlode/ school delays and radio.

Delays occur in three stages:

  • STAGE 1) NO zero period classes (Sonora Union High School)
  • STAGE 2) 2-hour delay schedule for classes
  • STAGE 3) School cancellation

 

Transportation Notes

The times and locations of the transportation routes are subject to change and local conditions.  TCSOS and Sonora High School Transportation will do their best to communicate any changes.

Late Starts & School Delays

Special Education Transportation will be delayed if Sonora High School is on a one or two-hour delay, regardless of the school site your student is attending (Soulsbyville, Jamestown, etc.).
